Punk rock \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eethos insist wines are made frugally and sold for honest prices.”\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe parallels between their love of punk\/skate culture and the\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eback-to-basics, anti-establishment ethos of natural winemaking are\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eclear.  They're all about risk and freedom, having skipped skilled\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eformal winemaking training, instead taking a DIY approach.  Schaaf\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003esays: “Aaron and I have always said, ‘let’s not be influenced, let’s\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ebe outsiders a little bit.” And while they've come a long way, they're\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003estill on the fringe -- and happy to stay there.  They started with a\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e60 case production in 2007, and are now up to a whopping 700 cases \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003etotal across 8 or so different wines.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eBut this is their first piquette, and it is delicious!  They're using the skins and must from first pressings of four different red and white grapes from two organic vineyards to do a second press with pristine well water, resulting in the lower-ABV wine-like beverage known as piquette -- a modern wine cooler of sorts.  Though the concept is far from modern, dating back to Roman times and produced through the ages for farm workers, as a lunch beverage that wouldn't get them drunk (and less productive).  Neon pinky red and punchy, this one drinks like tart grapefruit kombucha with a Sweet Tart tang.  RAw, alive and totally crushable, this is breakfast juice, picnic juice, day drinking juice -- an anywhere, anytime refresher that won't knock you down, even if you finish the whole bottle...\u003c\/span\u003e","brand":"Rock Juice Inc","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54242799714587,"sku":"kud1792016162353","price":13.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1029\/3923\/0491\/files\/2020-deux-punx-california-piquette_1.jpg?v=1792016169","url":"https:\/\/closetrodcladwear.shop\/products\/2020-deux-punx-california-piquette","provider":"My Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
